Mauricio Stella
Mauricio Stella "Muralist Painter", was born in San Carlos of Chile on December 17th 1970 from an Italian father. In 1987 he graduated from the Bilingual Humanistic Artistic High School and since then he has started to paint full time in his Atelier in Santiago.
In the 90s and 92s he met and appreciated the German painter and sculptor Wolfram Brillant, a prominent figure in his training process, such as that of the internationally renowned Surrealist painter Roberto Matta. Although he is so young, he reveals great artistic maturity and domination of the expressive means, which will allow him since then his own spaces in the world of modern painting.
In 1995 he was awarded a Scholarship in Italy thanks to which he can attend a Humanistic-Artistic Course at the University of Genoa. The following year he returned to Chile and the authorities of his hometown commissioned him to create a "mural" for the library of a new school. This project was completed in 1997 and immediately returned to Italy where it settled permanently in the city of Imperia.
Over the years he has organized numerous personal exhibitions both in Italy and abroad and also participates in various collective exhibitions.
In 2011 he presented a solo show in the Principality of Monaco in Monte Carlo, participated in the Artists Fair in Parma and in the virtual experimental exhibition Artistiweb and exhibited at the Thuillier Gallery in Paris.
In 2012 the artist was selected for his inclusion in the Mondadori Italian Modern Art Catalog and in the same year he also participates in a collective exhibition, as an artist selected by the Art Critic Prof. Paolo Levi, representing the 'Italian Contemporary Art at the National Art Museum in Liviv in Ukraine where a work by the artist Stella is permanently exhibited, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy. Also in Ukraine in Kiev, in the same year, Mauricio Stella exhibits as part of a group exhibition at the National Art Gallery of the same city.
The Scientific Committee of the Mondadori Italian Modern Art Catalog (CAM) selects the artist Stella for the insertion and publication of his works in three consecutive years from 2012-13-14.
In 2013 he was invited with other artists to exhibit in the Bellini Museum in Florence, on the occasion of the Festival of Fine Arts and Culture of the XXI Century, during the events of the "Maggio Fiorentino".
In the three-year period 2014-15-16 he is present with his works, participating both in a collective called "Chengdu International Art Fair" and for the prestigious headquarters of the Altis Architects & Planners Co in Beijing, where his works will be exhibited for three consecutive years .
Currently the works of Mauricio Stella are found in private and public collections both in Italy and abroad.
